Two Smooth is the collaborative artist project of the multi-talented Juan Botero and Kyle Takata. The Boston-based songwriting and production duo boasts a diverse catalog of music with elements of soul, R&B, pop, singer-songwriter, and country. Their real life chemistry and background in live performance results in songs filled with playful lyrics, catchy melodies, and colorful chords—an ode to their vast musical palette and influences. Authenticity is apparent in all their work, as they play and perform nearly every instrument heard in their music. Additionally, their lyrical concepts are rooted in authentic storytelling as they explore topics such as loss, romance, confidence, and nostalgia. Their 2022 debut LP Somebody Like You, explores the sounds of 70s soul music, a sound Botero and Takata bonded over during the conception of the project. They followed with two soul-pop leaning releases in 2023 with "Goosebumps (On My Body)" and "Can’t Find Love." Most recently, Two Smooth welcomed the holiday spirit with a singer-songwriter ballad titled "Stay In," released in December 2023. While their genre melding sound makes for an exciting listen, their energetic live shows make for an even more exciting watch as the duo captivates audiences from Boston to New York.
