Japanese-born saxophonist, composer, and arranger Ryota attended Berklee college of music with a major in jazz composition, studying with Ayn Inserto, Brian Landrus, Edmar Colon, and Godwin Louis. As a saxophonist, Ryota has collaborated with Hiromi, Casey Benjamin, James Francies, and others.
