John MurRay
Hailing from Memphis, Tennessee, John Holmes, known professionally as John MurRay, is a 21-year-old hip-hop artist who has been writing music since age 12. He prides himself on his ability to paint a picture with his lyrics. His debut mixtape, Spacetunes, shows his perspective on life, love, and family, and his latest EP, T.R.A.P., was released in January 2019. Holmes has received praise in communities across the U.S. for his creative sound and inventive wordplay. He has featured on projects with up-and-coming artists such as ALX, Maya the Golden, and Lil Dezzie X, and has garnered more than 10,000 plays on SoundCloud. While studying at Berklee College of Music, he has performed at numerous student shows and venues throughout the Boston area.
