Berklee College of Music faculty members and old friends John Funkhouser (piano) and Jerry Leake (tabla) team up as Piandia, presenting a modern take on the ancient tradition of North Indian (Hindustani) classical music, accompanied by brief explanations of the Hindustani concepts of raga (melodic structure) and tala (rhythmic structure).

Deeply soulful and spiritually uplifting ragas are woven together with energetic and intricate rhythms and virtuosic improvisation.
