Students will participate in weekly supervised rehearsals, develop a memorized repertoire, and gain experience in stylistic improvisation and melodic interpretation. Emphasis on stylistic integrity via listening and transcription, as well as melodic, harmonic, and rhythmic accuracy. Course includes end-of-semester performance.
