The Movement at Berklee
Berklee student volunteers work with students and staff from Perkins School for the Blind.
The Movement is a student-led initiative that uses performance as a catalyst for community building and social change. Students, faculty, staff, and alumni collaborate with partner organizations on activities including youth mentorship, performance outreach, and music instruction.
Volunteer opportunities vary, and no long-term commitment is required. Past initiatives have included performances on the oncology floor at Massachusetts General Hospital, music workshops at Perkins School for the Blind, ensembles playing for animals at Franklin Park Zoo, guest judging at Boys and Girls Club talent shows, and workshops for older adults at Women’s Lunch Place.
