The Movement at Berklee

The Movement at Berklee is a powerful, student-led program that uses performance as a catalyst for community building and social change. Student, faculty, staff, and alumni volunteers collaborate with partner organizations to conduct a broad range of activities including youth mentorship, performance outreach, and musical instruction.

Berklee student volunteers work with students and staff from Perkins School for the Blind as part of a three-part music workshop

Volunteer opportunities and duration vary (no long-term commitment is required). Past activities have included student performances on the oncology floor at Massachusetts General Hospital, ensembles playing music for the animals at Franklin Park Zoo, music education at Perkins School for the Blind, acting as guest judges at Boys and Girls Club talent shows, and holding workshops for the elderly and faculty performances at the Women’s Lunch Place.
