Berklee Taps Global Search Firm for Presidential Search

Dear Berklee community,

I am excited to share that the Berklee Presidential Search Committee selected Heidrick & Struggles, a global executive search firm, to partner with us and support our search for Berklee's next president. The Heidrick & Struggles team, known for its expertise in higher education and deep understanding of the music, media, entertainment, and tech sectors, will collaborate with us to ensure a robust, proactive, and values-driven search.

The team includes Jackie Zavitz, who leads the firm’s higher education work; Angela Gardner, whose clients include the music, media, and entertainment industries; and Darren Cinti, who is based in Boston and serves clients in the tech sector. Their work will be supported by Heidrick team members Deborah Rheem and Sulli Cressler B.M. ’21.

While Heidrick & Struggles will be providing valuable assistance, the leadership of the search remains firmly in the hands of our dedicated search committee members. Your insights and feedback will continue to play a pivotal role in shaping the direction of our search. In the coming weeks, we will arrange community forums and launch a survey to gain your insights into the qualities of our next leader. We are grateful for your ongoing support in this important work.

Sincerely,

Bill Kaiser
Chair, Berklee Presidential Search Committee
