Important Leadership Announcement

Dear Berklee community,

We previously informed you of President Muhl’s leave of absence on June 28. For the last several weeks, the Board of Trustees has been actively engaged in ongoing discussions with President Muhl. While we are unable to share further details, President Muhl will not be returning to Berklee. The board thanks President Muhl for her time, her leadership during the pandemic, and her investment in Berklee’s educational experience.

We want to express our unwavering confidence in Acting President and Provost David Bogen and Acting Executive Vice President Betsy Newman, who will continue to lead Berklee seamlessly and provide strong continuity of leadership and strategic direction for our community during this time.

Berklee's strength lies in its people—the talented students, faculty, and staff who pour their hearts and souls into making this institution thrive. They are the lifeblood of Berklee, and I know that our institution will continue to flourish under the stewardship of our leadership team.

Sincerely,

Marty Mannion sig
