Biography

As vice president of facilities, Erin McCabe oversees the operations of all campus facilities, including roughly 1.2 million square feet of owned and leased property, and in collaboration with Berklee's senior leadership team, manages Berklee's major renovation and construction projects. She provides leadership to the director of campus planning, the senior director of facilities, and their respective staffs; guides the programming, design, budgeting, permitting, and construction of Berklee's capital projects; and works with her team to develop comprehensive, long-term facility operation and maintenance strategies. Working closely with the vice president of real estate and the vice president of community and government affairs, McCabe is supporting the preparation, review, and approval process of a new institutional master plan. 

Prior to Berklee, McCabe served as director of facilities operations at Lesley University, where she oversaw roughly 1 million square feet of campus facilities across three campuses and 68 buildings, as well as an operating budget of $16 million. She also oversaw various capital projects, developed the university's facilities management service plan, and initiated a vendor recruitment program to expand partnerships with women- and minority-owned businesses. McCabe previously worked for 10 years as an appraiser in commercial real estate, before serving the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as deputy director of finance and operations for the Executive Office of Health and Human Services.

McCabe holds a B.A. in political science with a business studies concentration from Providence College, an M.B.A. from Northeastern University's D'Amore-McKim School of Business, and a graduate certificate in public policy from Suffolk University.
