Now in its third year, Berklee Latino, Berklee College of Music’s Spanish-language program, is expanding to host programs in Ecuador and Peru. Berklee Latino also returns to Mexico—with two, weeklong programs—and Colombia in 2016. The program offers Spanish-speaking musicians the opportunity to explore the essence of Latin American music through master classes, clinics, and ensembles, with courses taught exclusively in Spanish.

“Through Berklee Latino we seek to take the Berklee classroom to musicians in Latin America,” says Guillermo Cisneros, executive director of Berklee Latino and vice president for global initiatives at Berklee. “This program provides students with the tools necessary to begin their journey and exploration of music and expand their view of what is possible within the realm of the music industry.”

Berklee Latino is also led by Grammy Award-winning musicians Javier Limón, artistic director; and Oscar Stagnaro, academic director.
