Berklee has been recording and releasing the work of its student performers and composers since the 1950s, documenting the early work of future stars like Joe Zawinul and Arif Mardin (Jazz in the Classroom, Volume II); Passion Pit (as the Peasantry, Dorm Sessions 5), St. Vincent (as Annie Clark, Dorm Sessions 1), John Scofield (JITC, Vol. XIV); Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah (Rebirth), and Paula Cole (Studio Production Projects, 1988).
