This event will highlight the topic of women and the music of the African diaspora and will feature Berklee Afro-diasporic female faculty and performers. They will engage in discussion about how they chose their musical genre and about their career paths. Jazz and Gender Justice (JGJ) artist-in-residence Ledisi will also be part of the panel. This event will also be a preview of the new Africana Studies course, Women and Music of the African Diaspora, available for all students in fall 2023.
