We are co-sponsoring theater residency with the Boston Conservatory at Berklee Theater Division. Our Guest artist/scholar in residence will be actor and theater professor Forrest McClendon. Mr. McClendon was a Tony Award nominee for his Broadway debut as Mr. Tambo in The Scottsboro Boys and was seen most recently in Thoughts of a Colored Man.

Dr. Andrea Barnwell Brownlee, Ph.D. also join us on Thursday, April 20 for a lecture on Black art entitled “Curatorial Chronicles: Black Women Artists.” Dr. Brownlee served as the director of the Spelman College Museum of Fine Art in Atlanta, Georgia, for nearly 20 years. She currently serves at the George W. and Kathleen I. Gibbs Director and Chief Executive Officer at the Cummer Museum of Art and Gardens. Dr. Brownlee is an award-winning art historian, curator, educator, and writer.
