This course introduces tools for conducting business as a DIY Songwriter-Performer and reinforces performance strategies for growing their audience. Students will learn every facet of logistics, booking, promoting, performing, and creating a live show experience culminating in a performance at a Boston area venue. Students will gain practical experience in building set lists, contacting bookers, performance techniques, live sound technology, financial/contractual considerations, and creating unique audience experiences. This course also covers basic understanding of business etiquette and professionalism.
