Next Steps for Berklee College of Music Continuing and Returning Students
Preparing for Check-In
Get ready for the fall 2021 semester by following this checklist.
Review and clear check-in restrictions by the start of check-in, August 28.
Go to my.berklee.edu and click on the Semester Check-In link in the Check-In section to see any restrictions on your account that would prevent you from checking in.
Pay your tuition balance by August 2.
Complete the required online forms before you check in.
Go to my.berklee.edu to complete the following:
- Emergency Information (under Contact Information)
- Local Address (under Contact Information)
- U.S.-Based Mobile Phone (under Notifications)
- Student Acknowledgement of Financial and Other Obligations (SAFO) (under Financial Information)
Check in for the semester by September 3.
Check in for the fall semester between August 28 and September 3 at my.berklee.edu.
Waive Berklee’s health insurance by September 17.
You may waive (decline) participation in the Berklee Student Health Insurance Program (SHIP) if you can demonstrate coverage with a comparable insurance plan that is consistent with existing state and federal requirements. The insurance coverage requirements for waiving the SHIP are not internal policies set by Berklee.
If you have your own comparable health insurance and would like to waive the SHIP, you must do so by September 17. Note that the SHIP is automatically billed to your account, and you will not be able to check in for the semester if you still have a balance on your account, so we strongly encourage you to waive the SHIP before check-in.
If you would like to enroll in the Berklee SHIP, you do not need to take any action.
Learn about the SHIP and how to waive it.
Health and Safety Checklist
Take this step before traveling to campus to keep yourself and other members of our community healthy.
Submit your proof of COVID-19 vaccination as soon as possible.
All students are required to be fully vaccinated before the fall semester. You will only be able to attend classes or access campus (including on-campus residence halls) when you are fully vaccinated, which is two weeks after your final vaccine dose (the second dose of a two-dose vaccine or the single dose of a one-dose vaccine).
Learn about the requirement and how to submit your vaccination record.
Get Ready to Access Campus
Submit your ID photo (if applicable) as soon as possible.
If you don’t have a Berklee ID card yet, submit a photo for your ID card. You will need it to enter Berklee buildings. Your photo will be used for your Berklee ID, class rosters, and more.
Pick up your Berklee ID card if you don’t have one.
If you don’t have a Berklee ID card yet, or if you lost yours, you may pick up a new one at the One Card office, located at 155 Massachusetts Avenue, basement level. Replacement cards will be available starting the week of August 30.
