Technology Information for Undergraduate Students
Students at Berklee College of Music will use powerful, cutting-edge music technology, which is an integral part of the college curriculum. Access to this music technology empowers students to create professional-quality content with a range of innovative tools.
Software Versions and Compatibility
In addition to any software you already own or are required to own for your studies, students in certain majors will also use software installed in various technical facilities. Software in facilities is tested and evaluated to ensure the compatibility needs of the college and its curriculum. In some cases, the most current version of a piece of software may be a version ahead of what is actually in use at Berklee. Students should update software, including operating system updates, only after ensuring the updates will not impact their coursework. Please check with your faculty if you are unsure about whether to update your software and when.
