Academics

For the spring 2021 semester, you will enroll in courses taught remotely by Boston- and Valencia-based faculty. Students of all majors are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity and will be able to stay on track for graduation while studying remotely.

Facilities Access

You will have access to Berklee facilities. Most spaces will require some form of advance reservation or will be assigned. We are committed to making facilities available to students while also maintaining a safe campus that allows for physical distancing and reduced campus density. In addition, you will have borrowing privileges at the Valencia library. On-campus study spaces will not be available.

Tuition and Fees

  • Tuition: Same as in Boston.
  • Comprehensive fee: Same as in Boston ($650).
  • Valencia health services fee: $400 includes supplemental Spanish health insurance (MAPFRE) and access to Berklee's medical assistance program in Valencia. This fee is required and cannot be waived.
  • Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, you may be able to waive Berklee’s Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP).

Housing

The Valencia campus does not offer student housing directly, but there are many options available for you to choose from. You can be referred to a residence hall, rent a room in a private apartment, or rent an entire apartment and arrange to share with classmates. Updated information on Berklee Valencia's suggestions for the spring semester will be shared shortly. You can also refer to our Housing section for general information.

Visas

Undergraduate students who are citizens or legal residents of the European Union, Norway, Liechtenstein, Iceland, Switzerland, or the United Kingdom will not need a visa.

If you are a U.K. citizen, we recommend that you check with the Spanish consulate in your area, as regulations might change from January 1, 2021, due to Brexit. You can contact studyabroad@berklee.edu if you have additional questions.
