The Berklee Performance Center (BPC) was recently contacted about a potential breach of personal information through its ticketing vendor, Vendini, Inc.  Vendini provides box office and online ticketing services to hundreds of entertainment venues nationwide, including the Berklee Perfomance Center and the Red Room at Café 939

Vendini stated that on April 25, 2013, the company detected an unauthorized intrusion into its information systems.  If you used a credit card to make a purchase for an event at either of these venues prior to April 25, 2103, your information may have been compromised.

It is important to note Vendini has informed us that it does not collect credit card security access codes (e.g., CVV, CVV2, PINs), information that is typically needed to complete a credit card transaction. Neither consumer-patron usernames, nor passwords, were accessed by the intruder.

Vendini is actively cooperating with federal law enforcement and the investigation is ongoing. Please note that notification from Vendini was delayed specifically to support law enforcement’s investigation. For more information, see Vendini’s complete statement regarding the unauthorized entry into its systems, and next steps it is encouraging those consumers who may be affected to take.
