Graduate Programs

In fall 2015, Berklee will launch two new graduate programs on our Boston campus. Our highly selective graduate programs—including four programs in Valencia, Spain—are designed to help you launch a successful career in music, encompassing the wide array of tools and skill sets required to meet the demands of a highly competitive industry. Through focused and rigorous study, enhanced by close mentoring relationships with exceptional faculty, your graduate studies at Berklee will prepare you to excel musically, artistically, and professionally.

Graduate Programs in Boston

Master of Music in Contemporary Performance (Global Jazz Concentration)

Focus on global jazz in this highly selective, three-semester program providing advanced studies to instrumentalists and vocalists who demonstrate excellent musical proficiency and a desire to develop their artistry through a wide variety of performance projects. You'll work directly with master musicians and be embedded in the diverse musical community of Berklee's Boston campus, where you'll be uniquely positioned for entry into a performance career in contemporary music.

Master of Arts in Music Therapy

You'll be immersed in advanced studies that will guide and prepare you to be a music therapist employing today’s global and community-based approaches to healthcare and education. You'll focus on research, clinical music, technology, contemporary music repertoire, and global perspectives, and have an opportunity to select specialty tracks such as integrative medicine or research. Graduate Programs in Valencia, Spain

Master of Music in Contemporary Performance (Production Concentration)

You'll hone your skills and find your artistic voice in this three-semester program that stands apart from other advanced performance degrees by offering students a diverse curriculum. You won't be limited to studying any one style of music, but will work with master musicians in a variety of genres, such as salsa, rock, Afro-Cuban jazz, Arabic, and Balkan music. You'll focus on concert performance in a variety of styles and on professional-level production of performance projects in a variety of media with extensive coursework in music business and music technology. Master of Music in Music Technology Innovation

Explore new artistic directions using innovations in music, technology, and the application of technology to music. If you're a performer or composer with excellent musical proficiency and technological acumen, this program will help you deepen your skills and apply them in ever-changing ways. Learn more about the program.

Master of Arts in Global Entertainment and Music Business

Master the methods and concepts that will prepare you to join the visionaries, executives, and entrepreneurs who lead today’s global music industry. You'll focus on the skills, concepts, and methodologies of global business models, and learn to apply these models to the artistic, management, and entrepreneurial challenges of music and digital media in the international contemporary entertainment industry. Learn more about the program.

Master of Music in Scoring for Film, Television and Video Games

Sharpen your scoring skills and develop your personal voice in a program that focuses on the art and craft of composing, orchestrating, editing, and producing music for the screen.
