Consequences for Community Members Who Do Not Follow Safety Protocols

Faculty and Staff

Continued noncompliance with health and safety protocols may result in restricted access to campus or removal of one's ability to work on the physical campus. Human Resources will continue to monitor testing compliance for faculty and staff as they have been since last spring. Learn more about non-compliance guidelines.

Students

Noncompliance with the health and safety protocols could lead to disciplinary probation, suspension, loss of on-campus housing, or loss of rehearsal and practice space. In addition, you may lose your access to Berklee facilities through the deactivation of your ID. Please see the detailed testing compliance policy below.

Testing Compliance Policy

All students must adhere to their required testing cadence. If you fall out of compliance with your testing requirement, the following process will be followed:

Violation 1: The student will be warned by email and given an opportunity to test.

Violation 2: The student will be notified by email and the student’s ID will be turned off and access to campus will be revoked. Residential students will still be able to access their residence halls and the dining hall by using the Public Safety intercoms or calling Public Safety at 617-747-2682. Access will be reinstated following completion of baseline testing (both a rapid antigen and PCR test) at the Berklee Testing Center.

In order to restore campus access, regardless of the conduct investigation, a student must complete baseline testing (both a rapid antigen and PCR test) at the Berklee Testing Center.

Violation 3: Students will be fully suspended for the duration of the semester and will be asked to leave campus. Subsequent violations will result in more punitive action.

We understand that students may be off-campus for extended periods from time to time for good reason. If this is the case, you may restore your access by receiving a test at your earliest convenience prior to visiting any Berklee facility. You can also submit the results of an external PCR test to covidhealthadministrator@berklee.edu to maintain your testing cadence.
