Eunike Tanzil
Eunike Tanzil is an Indonesian composer, producer, and pianist based in Los Angeles, California. With degrees from Berklee College of Music and The Juilliard School, her musical tapestry seamlessly weaves together classical, jazz, and world music influences. After being exposed to a multitude of styles and genres of music while at Berklee, Tanzil was introduced to many musicians, several of whom became longtime collaborators. Her commitment to artistic excellence is emphasized through mentorship with Pinar Toprak, John Corigliano, and John Debney, pivotal figures shaping her artistic journey.
Over the past five years, Tanzil has made musical contributions to the world of film composition, including such projects as "The Addams Family 2," "I Wanna Dance with Somebody," and "Abominable and the Invisible City." In 2021, Tanzil scored "Be Somebody," a top-grossing Chinese comedy mystery film. Notably, her work on the American romantic comedy "Asian Persuasion" premiered at the Soho International Film Festival in 2023.
Whether in media, dance, theater, or the concert hall, Tanzil delights in composing for any medium that offers opportunities to collaborate and exchange ideas with fellow passionate artists. Tanzil actively collaborates with artists like Ray Chen, TwoSet Violin, Arturo Sandoval, and Laufey, revealing a diverse musical portfolio. Her recent production collaboration with Laufey on "Only Mine," part of a Bose and Porsche campaign, showcases her versatility as a producer and orchestrator. Thriving in concert music as well, she conducted the Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra in the world premiere of her latest orchestral piece, "Celestial Waves," in 2023. In the same year, she also released her first single, "Scenes From A Voyage", which was recorded by the Hollywood Studio Symphony Orchestra at Warner Bros. Eastwood Scoring Stage.
Tanzil extends her influence beyond the studio, fostering a vibrant community of creatives on social media. Her creativity shines in her iconic "Hum Me A Melody" series, transforming street-hummed motifs into symphonic arrangements. Through educational content and clips of her compositions, she aims to introduce orchestral music to a more diverse audience and inspire aspiring composers, especially women creators of color who are underrepresented in the industry.
