As vice president of online education, Carin Nuernberg oversees the development, administration, and expansion of online education programs for Berklee, including graduate and undergraduate degree programs, instructor-led courses and certificate programs, massive open online courses (MOOCs) and programs, and campus events for online students, in addition to the college’s book publishing operation, Berklee Press. She joined Berklee in 2001 as a foundational team member of the online school, and under her leadership, Berklee Online has won the best online college course award from the University Professional and Continuing Education Association (UPCEA) for an unprecedented eight years in a row, in addition to the award for strategic innovation in online education and the International Program of Excellence for Spanish- and Portuguese-language programming.
