The New York Times published a feature story in its Arts section on Berklee's acquisition of Avatar Studios in Manhattan, and the creation of BerkleeNYC, which included comments from President Roger H. Brown and Berklee Trustee Pete Muller. The studio will be renamed Power Station at BerkleeNYC, and will continue to operate commercially along with new offerings including educational programs, performances, and resources for local musicians.
