The Boston Globe previewed Berklee’s Tribute to Laurel Canyon (the latest installment of the annual Great American Songbook series), which will feature songs by James Taylor, the Doors, Carole King, and Joni Mitchell, a Mamas and the Paps medley, and more.

In the story, legendary photographer Henry Diltz, who will host and narrate Sunday's performance, describes the Laurel Canyon scene of the late '60s and early '70s as "an era that has almost become mythological, like Camelot.” The article also quotes Ken Zambello, the musical director of the show, who explains why the iconic songs of this era are worthy of inclusion in the Great American Songbook.

The Great American Songbook: Tribute to Laurel Canyon, part of the Signature Series at Berklee, takes place at the Berklee Performance Center on Sunday, February 26. Tickets are available here, or by calling 617-747-2261, or via the BPC box office.
