Mason Windley
Mason Windley’s sound blends the background of the Black American music tradition, namely contemporary R&B, jazz, and hip-hop. His songwriting, composition, and saxophone playing is deeply fresh and modern while claiming its lineage in the blues and post-bop traditions. Described as a “youthful, sweeping collective,” by pianist and composer Domas Žeromskas, his live band’s configuration is a five to six piece group of piano and keyboards, electric bass, drumset, djembe, trumpet, and himself doubling between the alto saxophone and flute. Performances will also feature vocalists and sampled voice recordings from his upcoming project, Love, Thus Rage.
Mason Windley will be performing as part of Berklee’s Summer in the City 2026 concert series. View series schedule.
