Colombian artist Manuela Sánchez-Goubert performs a set of original tunes and arrangements. She mixes elements of traditional Latin American folk acts like Susana Baca with the sophistication of modern jazz greats like Cécile McLorin Salvant. “She has a creative vision that is mature and steeped in merging her traditional background with what interests her in the colorful world she is surrounded by,” says vocalist Lauren Kinhan of the New York Voices.
