Julia Aronovich is a 21-year-old singer and songwriter who began her creative journey seven years ago, when she left São Paulo, Brazil, and moved to New Jersey. Her new life in the suburbs brought inspiring challenges that deepened her connection to music. With her guitar as a confidant, hours would vanish into songwriting sessions, producing daily compositions in both English and Portuguese.

Aronovich’s music lives in the folk world, drawing additional influence from rock and pop, as well as elements of Brazilian music, including MPB and bossa nova. Her songs reflect distinct chapters of her personal journey, capturing the emotional complexity of growing up and finding one’s place.

Through her deeply personal songwriting, Aronovich hopes to create space for listeners to see themselves in her lyrics, building a visceral connection through shared emotion and experience.

Julia Aronovich will be performing as part of Berklee’s Summer in the City 2025 concert series. View all concerts.
