The Manuel Kaufmann 17-piece jazz orchestra presents mostly original compositions with a post-bebop flair and a few fresh interpretations of the Great American Songbook. The sounds move between the introspective, intimate, vigorous, somber, lush, and powerful.
This performance will include "Peace," a tribute to the late Eric Jackson, the legendary DJ from WGBH jazz radio.
