Biography

Edythe Heins (she/her) is a doctoral-level intern pursuing her Psy.D. in clinical psychology with a concentration in Asian mental health. She received her bachelor's in psychology at Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida, and her master's degree in mental health counseling at William James College where she continues her Psy.D. program. She has experience working in a number of community mental health settings, as well outreach in public schools with children and families.
Heins utilizes a person-centered approach to therapy and is passionate about creating a safe and collaborative space to help guide individuals from every walk of life to their own solutions while feeling respected and heard. She utilizes a number of modalities but has the most experience incorporating creativity in session through art and play. In her free time, Heins can be found working out their stress in the gym/doing CrossFit classes, working on paint by numbers and other crafts, FaceTiming her dog, and re-watching favorite TV shows.
