City Music Applications

Thank you for your interest in City Music Boston! We have application forms online for your convenience.

Because each program serves different students, we ask that you read the requirements before applying. If you have questions, contact the our office.

To apply to the Saturday Preparatory School at the Boston Arts Academy, students must:

1. Be in grades 6-8
2. Live in Boston
3. Have at least one year of training (formal or informal) on their principal instrument
4. Own or have regular access to an instrument

Saturday Preparatory School application form (PDF)

To apply for the Music Mentoring Program, students must:

1. Be in grades 7-12
2. Live in Boston, Cambridge, Chelsea, or Somerville
3. Be proficient in their chosen instrument
4. Have at least one year of training (formal or informal) on their principal instrument
5. Own or have regular access to an instrument

City Music Saturday School:

This program accepts applications by invitation only. Please fill out this form only if a City Music staff member has asked you to do so.

Applying students must also:

1. Be in grades 9-12
2. Live in Boston, Cambridge, Chelsea, Lawrence, Lynn, or Somerville
3. Have at least one year of training (formal or informal) on their principal instrument
4. Own their instrument
