Vans Off The Wall Scholarship
The Vans Off The Wall Scholarship is a full scholarship opportunity awarded to one outstanding entering musician from the U.S. with demonstrated financial need. Preference is given to a rock, alternative, or indie musician/creative artist, who is an academically high achieving scholar. This partnership between Vans, the original action sports footwear and apparel brand, and Berklee has resulted in the creation of a scholarship for one student that covers tuition, on-campus housing, the required laptop, the comprehensive fee, and is renewable over four years.
The Vans Off The Wall Scholarship is the first of its kind fully funded by a U.S.-based Corporation. Vans is a brand rich in music culture with deep-roots in genres ranging from punk-rock, metal, indie, and hip hop. Vans supports original and creative musicians who are Off The Wall—a state of mind, thinking differently and embracing creative self-expression. Shoe and clothing collaborations with Pearl Jam, Iron Maiden, Iggy Pop, Descendents, KISS, Social Distortion, No Doubt, Slayer and Metallica are among the many coveted projects that suit an Off The Wall lifestyle for music fans everywhere.
All candidates for the Vans Off The Wall Scholarship must first apply to Berklee and complete an audition and interview and submit their academic transcripts. The applicant for the Vans Off The Wall Scholarship will demonstrate the Off The Wall spirit and creative expression through music.
