Biography

The Shills members Dave Sicilian and James Zaner graduated from Berklee in 2006 after majoring in music production and engineering. Together with frontman Bryan Murphy, who is also a member of the experimental band Man Man, and guitarist Ryan Jackson, they have been a driving force in the Boston rock scene for the past decade. The Shills offer audiences tightly crafted grooves, powerful vocals, and an expansive creative range, and they were recently listed as No. 1 in Vents Magazine's top-10 list of Boston bands.

Sicilian also works as a studio engineer in advertising and feature films for Soundtrack Boston. Zaner was chief engineer at Blue Jay Recording and is now on tour as front of house engineer and production manager for pop duo Nick and Knight.
