In Their Own Words

"My goal for students is to approach different styles as a tool that allows them to develop unique identities as musicians. As a classically-trained pianist, I want to share the idea that improvisation dates back centuries and belongs to the classical tradition. I would like students to consider classical compositions as source materials and use classical elements outside the traditional contest. Understand how much helpful and enriching classical skills can be, when applied to other genres, including jazz, film scoring, pop, songwriting, etc."
