In Their Own Words

"I see teaching as a collaboration between students and teacher. I want to harness the group's ability to work together to improve everyone's learning, and I try to facilitate discussion and collaboration to that end. I also try to keep lessons as hands on and real-world oriented as possible. I believe that questions are more important than answers, so I hope to engage the curiosity of the class."

"I want students to come away from my class with practical skills that they can apply in their future work. After a lesson, I hope that their curiosity is engaged and that they will have questions to take their knowledge to the next step."

"I think the caliber of students, more than anything else, sets Berklee's program apart. The students are both exceptionally talented and passionate about their learning."

"My professional training took place, in large part, on the job. There, I learned skills from the more experienced engineers and producers who mentored me. I try as much as possible to replicate this learning-by-doing approach with my students and try to freely share my knowledge and experience with them, as my mentors did with me."
