Lori Johnson assumed her duties as the inaugural dean of student advising and success in July 2016. Working with partners across campus, she and her team are responsible for the collaborative development and design of new, innovative, and comprehensive approaches to student advising and success programs and services that support and enhance the Berklee student experience. She provides leadership and direction to academic advising, international student services, study abroad, disability services, student success, the registrar, and core music tutoring.
Johnson is an active member of NAFSA: Association of International Educators, the Forum on Education Abroad, the National Academic Advising Association, and the Association of American Colleges and Universities. She is also serving her second term on the national advisor board for the College of Global Studies at Arcadia University.
