Biography

Before attending Berklee, renowned vocalist Annette Philip cofounded Artists Unlimited, a performing arts ensemble promoting collaboration among musicians in New Dehli, India.

After graduating from Berklee in 2009, Philip joined the faculty and went on to found the college’s Indian Ensemble, one of the largest and most diverse ensembles with more than 50 members, and direct the sold-out A. R. Rahman tribute concert in October 2014 .

Philip has shared the stage with artists such as Buster Williams, Victor Lewis, Angelique Kidjo, and Jack DeJohnette. Philip is also core vocalist and creative director of Women of the World, an international 10-piece ensemble with members representing nine countries. Honoring global folk traditions, the four core singers perform in 23 of the world's languages, and use music in the daily practice of peace. In summer 2015, Philip joined A. R. Rahman on tour.
