Health and Safety
The health and safety of our students is a top priority at Berklee. There are many resources available to help answer questions and connect your student with people who can assist them in getting the help they need.
Student Health Insurance
Massachusetts law requires all students enrolled in colleges and universities located within the state to either participate in a school-sponsored student health insurance plan or provide proof of comparable coverage through their own or their family's insurance provider. Visit the Student Health Insurance page to learn everthing you need to know about requirements, waivers, local health care facilities, and much more.
In accordance with Massachusetts state law, Berklee requires that undergraduate, graduate, and other visiting students demonstrate immunity to specific communicable diseases. Prior to arriving on campus, students must submit an Immunization History Form signed and stamped by a licensed medical provider. If complete immunization information is not submitted, the student will not be allowed to attend classes.
For more information, visit the Immunization Requirements page.
Berklee's Public Safety Department is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for the study of music. In keeping with that goal, Berklee continually revises existing policies and procedures to reflect today's security and safety issues. Visit Public Safety for valuable information and to learn more about the services offered to the Berklee community.
LiveWell: Wellness, Health, and Fitness Programs
The mission of the LiveWell Program is to enhance each student's well-being. This is accomplished by helping students develop and maintain positive self-management skills in a safe and enjoyable manner. These skills are especially geared toward long and rich careers in music. Reach Out Initiative
The Reach Out Initiative was created for the Berklee community by the Berklee community to provide education, opportunities, information, and resources surrounding alcohol and other drug use and abuse, sexual assault and domestic violence, and mental health awareness. Our goal is to promote, encourage, and support healthy decision-making and behaviors within the community. Our programs and efforts are brought you by the Reach Out Committee, which is composed of staff members within the Division of Student Affairs. If you have any interest in learning more about the Reach Out Initiative or have any questions regarding our efforts, contact us at ReachOut@berklee.edu or 617 747-2849.
