In June, composer Shawn K. Clement of Canyon County, CA, had his song "The Warrior's Hymn" sung by Jon Anderson (the lead singer for Yes) at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. Carl Clements

Saxophonist Carl Clements of Amherst, MA, received his Ph.D. in ethnomusicology in September 2010 from the Graduate Center, CUNY.
