Assistant Professor of Ensemble Alonzo Harris recently served as keyboardist and/or musical director for Tyrese and Betty Wright in appearances on major network television programs. He was the keyboardist and coproducer on recordings by Elle Varner and K Michelle. 

RIchard Greenblatt

Associate Professor of Ear Training Richard Greenblatt performed at the Hartland JazzFest in Hartland, VT; the Vermont Institute of Contemporary Arts jazz series; and the Northampton Jazz Workshop concert series.

Music Business Management Department Chair Don Gorder led the recent panel discussions at MIDEM (the International Music & Media Conference) in Cannes, France; the Cape Town International Jazz Festival in Cape Town, South Africa; the Rethink Music Conference in Boston; and at Sony Music Entertainment in New York.

Voice Professor Gabrielle Goodman held a residency and performance in Bogotá, Colombia, at the Fernando Sor school with Oscar Stagnaro. She was also a performing clinician in Russia opening for Kenny Garrett, and in Xi’an, China.

Professor of Bass Bruce Gertz and Piano Instructor Steve Hunt appeared on the Nick Goumas Quartet CD Moonlight Alley.

Eugene Friesen

Strings Professor Eugene Friesen had his cantata Glory premiered at the Shenandoah Valley Bach Festival in Harrisonburg, VA. Friesen also coauthored the book Improvisation for Classical Musicians with his wife, Wendy. 

Ellen Francese

Associate Professor of Liberal Arts Ellen Francese began a Skype-based after-school program in Cape Town, South Africa, to provide music lessons taught by Berklee students to underserved eighth graders. 

Garrison Fewell

Guitar Professor Garrison Fewell performed and recorded with saxophonist John Tchicai’s project Ascension Unending. The group performed at New York’s Vision Festival and George Wein’s CareFusion Jazz Festival.
