Composer and arranger Joe Matzzie of Los Angeles, CA, finished production on the new album Christmas at the Renaissance Fair by Moat Jumper. The album also features trombonist Paul Nowell '07. The album was released October 18.

Ana Lisa Portillo of Boston codirects and performs on vihuela and vocals with Mariachi Palenque, which was awarded Boston's Best Mariachi 2011 award by El Planeta, the largest Spanish-language publication in Massachusetts. Previously, Portillo performed with La Tuza, a 2010 nominee for Boston's Best World Music.

Daniel Ori

Bassist and composer Daniel Ori of New York City is working on his second album, Emuna, due out at the end of the year. The album features Mark Turner '90, Ziv Ravitz '04, Oz Noy, and Sam Barsh.
