Panos A. Panay, the vice president for innovation and strategy and managing director of BerkleeICE, recently joined a panel at the Mycelia think tank event in London in order to talk about the future of blockchain and the music industry.

The panel included a collection of artists, government officials, and music executives.

Panay spoke of Berklee's Open Music Initiative and the central issue of having an outdated data infrastructure, pointing out that, “Often as an artist if you want to accomplish something, you can’t, because of the way the infrastructure works right now."
