In recognition of the 40th anniversary of Elvis Presley's passing, Panos A. Panay, vice president of Innovation and Strategy, wrote an article for Entrepreneur on how Elvis Presley changed the music industry, and expanded his career success, through his entrepreneurial mindset. Panay discusses how Presley ushered in a new era of American music and pop culture, blurring the racial and social barriers of that time, and how he continues to inspire today's musicians, designers, entrepreneurs, and social influencers. 

Berklee's Institute for Creative Entrepreneurship, in partnership with haircare brand American Crew, organized Elvis Week in April 2017 to showcase Elvis Presley's entrepreneurial expertise and foresight in the music industry. American Crew also hosted styling workshops, teaching students about building their personal artistic style and brand.
