Berklee India Exchange Takes Prog Rock Clinics to Mumbai and Bengaluru

Progressive rock enthusiasts in Mumbai and Bengaluru enjoyed intensive two-day workshops this May at the Berklee Tandon Global Clinics conducted by the Berklee India Exchange.

Progressive rock enthusiasts in Mumbai and Bengaluru enjoyed intensive two-day workshops this May at the Berklee Tandon Global Clinics conducted by the Berklee India Exchange. These clinics were made possible by the generosity of Chandrika Tandon, who is an avid supporter of music and education as well as a Grammy-nominated artist and member of Berklee's President's Advisory Council.

More than 150 students from different parts of India gathered in Mumbai on May 25 and 26 and in Bengaluru on May 29 and 30 to study with Berklee clinicians Yogev Gabay (drums), Yoel Genin (guitar), and Guy Bernfeld (bass), all from Israel, and Eren Başbuğ (keyboard) from Turkey. The workshops each concluded with a concert, open to the public, at antiSOCIAL at Khar in Mumbai and The Humming Tree in Bengaluru, presented in conjunction with Berklee partner Furtados School of Music.
