Berklee Offers Free Performances at Charlestown Navy Yard

Stop by the oldest commissioned warship, the USS Constitution (1797) in Charlestown Navy Yard on Thursday nights at 6:00 p.m. in July for funk, folk, Latin music, and more.

Every Thursday at 6:00 p.m. during the month of July, Berklee musicians will be playing free concerts at the Charlestown Navy Yard as part of Berklee's Summer in the City concert series. These performances will feature a wide range of musical styles and genres, including Latin, folk, funk, and more, and are sure to leave audiences grooving. 

Here's what's coming up:

  • July 7—Honeysuckle
    Blending older influences and traditional instrumentation with modern effects and inspiration, Holly McGarry, Benjamin Burns, and Chris Bloniarz have banded together to create the progressive folk trio Honeysuckle.
  • July 14TASH
    Boston-based artist TASH is an up-and-coming singer-songwriter with an old soul. TASH's music combines the heart of urbanity with the depth of nature. Her unique folk/pop sound, sung with effortless grace and deep earthy roots, captures the individuality and freedom she stands for.
  • July 21Dear June 
    Dear June is a rock 'n' roll band from Boston. Founded as a duo with folk roots, the band has since transformed into a five-piece act with a distinctly eclectic, Americana sound. Its blend of unique harmonies and compelling lyrics produces a well-rounded and soulful sound. Dear June pulls influence from a range of acts from Tedeschi Trucks Band to Brazilian funk, showcasing the various talents and interests of each band member.
  • July 28The Dingo Babies
    The Dingo Babies' sound is focused on tight harmonies and catchy, sideways power-pop tunes about inner and outer space. The band's style rides the waves of the Avett Brothers, Weezer, Alt-J, and Crash Kings. The group has released one full-length album, entitled Breakfast, and has opened for acts such as Chadwick Stokes (Dispatch, State Radio). The Dingo Babies are currently working on an album, due out soon.
