Huffington Post: BerkleeICE and beIN SPORTS Create the Soundtrack of Copa America

Music, sports, and technology find their home together in a new web platform created by BerkleeICE and beIN Sports for Copa America.

May 26, 2015

In collaboration with beIN SPORTS, BerkleeICE organized a hackathon with the aim of finding a team to create an online platform for the network's broadcast of Copa America, the second-largest soccer tournament in the world. Berklee student and Huffington Post blogger Anahita Bahri recently spoke to those involved and finding out more about the project.

"It's a great opportunity for people to engage with the beIN SPORTS brand through music," Evan Chapman, a member of the team building the platform, told Bahri. The idea was to incorporate the rich chant and anthem culture of the competing soccer nations in a site that immerses beIN SPORTS Copa America viewers in soccer culture. The platform launched early June in time for Copa America.
