Malcolm-Jamal Warner Talks Bass and Jams with Steve Bailey

While in town for the play Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner at the Huntington Theatre, actor and Berklee Online student Malcolm-Jamal Warner stopped by Berklee to talk and jam with Bass Department chair Steve Bailey.

Malcolm-Jamal Warner jumpstarted his television career in the role of Theo Huxtable on ‘80s sitcom The Cosby Show. His acting career is still going strong with recurring roles on Sons of Anarchy and Community, but few know that Warner is also an avid bass player. He began playing at age 26 and has been mastering his musical craft ever since, eventually enrolling in Berklee’s online extension school.

While in Boston for the play Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner at the Huntington Theatre, Warner stopped by Berklee to sit down with Bass Department chair Steve Bailey. The two discussed music, including Warner's spoken word projects and tips for ear training.
