After leaving Berklee in 1990, singer-songwriter Eef Barzelay formed Clem Snide, an artistically-adventurous trio named after a character in William S. Burroughs’s Naked Lunch.

Clem Snide toured throughout the 90’s and early aughts, until Barzelay took a two-year hiatus to work on solo material.

Barzelay reformed Clem Snide in 2008, and is currently touring in Britain. The group's seven full-length albums and five EPs have earned raves from music critics at national media outlets like National Public Radio, The All Music Guide, and The Onion’s A.V. Club.
