Acclaimed guitarist Kaki King performed live on New York public radio station WNYC’s Soundcheck program, backed by a string quartet composed of Berklee students Jennifer Frantz, Sam Draper, and Cansu Ozyurek, along with Kari Juusela, dean of the Professional Writing and Music Technology Division. The quartet was part of a larger group that performed with her on the album Kaki King Live at Berklee with the Porta Girevole Chamber Orchestra, recently released by birnCORE records.

In the interview accompanying the performance, King discussed the origin of the project and the process of working with students on the live recording. The quartet also performed with her to celebrate her album's release at Littlefield, a performance venue and art space in Brooklyn.
