Snow Doesn't Slow Students' Creativity

This winter's rash of storms has upended the MBTA, class schedules, and routines. But it hasn't stopped Berklee students from doing what they do best: making and recording music. We put the call out via #BlizzardBeats to share music and videos created during Neptune's wrath. Students looked to the storms as their muse (Brian Raj's "Blizzard Pt. 2"); took advantage of forced indoor time to collaborate (alumni and student metal group Buried Electric self-produced its EP); and transcribed a favorite version of "On Green Dolphin Street." One student improvised: "Stuck in the storm without my mics so I made a song using my phone. All done with a guitar, shaker, and glass of water." Another's creative energies didn't result in actual music, but a musical sculpture of sorts: a DJ snowman.
