Rita Moreno's versitility as a performer was on display as she delivered Berklee's commencement address. After accepting her honorary doctor of music degree from Berklee President Roger H. Brown and Provost Larry Simpson, she raised both arms with fists clenced, victorius, while the audience hollard in approval. She then offered a monologue from Terrence McNally’s play Master Class before stunning everyone with a rap that she wrote especially for the occasion and inspired by the three times she saw the award-winning play Hamilton.
